DISPUTE ABOUT A FUR COAT.
Reserved judgment was given in the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington, by Mr AY. G. Riddell, S.M., yesterday', in a. ease in which Violet Keenan, of Moawhango, claimed £9O from A. Tossman and Co., furriers, of representing £SO, the alleged value of 69 picked black rabbit skins which plaintiff said she had given to defendants to be made up into a fur coat, and £4O damages. Defendant’s ease alleged that 03 natural grey skins were left at their shop by plaintiff, and that she had left without any receipt whatever. Mr Riddell said he was of the opinion that the weight of evidence was in favour of plaintiff. He fixed the value of the skins at £l3 16s, and gave judgment for that amount, together with £lO damages and costs.
Security for appeal was fixed at £9 9s.
