The Manawatu Championship tournament, which opened last Tuesday and concluded to-day, created much interest among clubs throughout the district. The following arc the results of the games in which local players participated: Fox ton players being mentioned lirst:—
Club Pairs Championship Doubles —-Meadantes Perreau and Woods defeated Mesdames Sinclair and Flint (Manawatu), 26 —20; Mesdames Owen and McMurray defeated Mesdames Spring and McDonald (Manawatu), 26—12; Mesdames Owen and McMurray lost to Mr and Mrs Robertson, 26 —24. Championship Singles: —Mrs F. Woods defeated Mrs Spring (Manawatu), 26 —17; Mrs McMurray defeated Mrs McLeod (Northern), 26' —21; Mrs Owen defeated Mrs Boyne (Northern), 26 —23; Mrs Woods lost to Sirs Fuller (Manawatu), by dcfeault. Mrs Owen lost to Mrs Gambrill, 26 —13. Handicap Singles (A.
