SCHOOL EXCURSION TO SEASIDE.

A school excursion train from Wjoodville, conveying about 450 children and adults, arrived at 10 a.m. yesterday for a picnic at the local seaside. Upon arrival at the station the majority of the excursionists were conveyed down the river to the seaside in Mr. J. Joseph’s launch and punts. The visitors spent on enjoyable lime although the outing was marred by the drowning accident. The party returned to Foxton and left on the return journey at 5.40 p.m.
