ENTERTAINMENTS.

Surrounded by an excellent cast and supplied with a most exciting story of the West, Tom Mix, as Jeff Boyden, gives a remarkably fine performance in “Hard Boiled," Shannon Fife’s romantic tale of a dude ranch, 'which screens at the Town Hall to-night. In this, his latest release, the great Western Ace finds, upon leaving his comfortable home in Chicago, that crooks are crooks —no matter where they are encountered. In this particular ease, the bait men are New York gun artists, headed by one, Diamond Sadie, and they are bent upon mischief in the far AYcst. Just how Tom and Tony working with “Spec” O’Donnell and a homely little dog, enlist the interest of the beautiful Marjorie Gregg, engineer a startling rescue, and land the culprits behind bars, develop into a Western release of rare beauty and dramatic action. On the same programme is a comedy “Matrimony Blues,” a picture of interest to dancers, “Dancing Around the World” and Fox News. Prices as usual. A "fine detective drama, “Go Straight,” with Owen Mpore, Glady Hulette and Mary Carr m the leading roles will head Monday’s pro-, gramme. This is a dramatic tale of a gang of crooks operating in the film colony of Hollywood and is full of excitement and clever twists of plot. Supporting items are “The Water Sheik,” and Pathe Gazette. Usual prices.
