END OF THIRD ROUND. The points compiled to the end of the third round of play in the Hall Shield competition by clubs under the control of the Horowhenua Cricket Association, show that Shannon is leading in the north division and Weraroa in the south. The fourth round will be commenced on Saturday next, and it is
hoped to play a fifth round if the season is favourable. Matches between north and south, both with A and B teams, will be played on Saturday, February 26th, at Levin and Weraroa, and the selectors will take the opportunity to decide who shall represent the district in the 'match to be played against Manawatu on March 12th. The positions of the teams at the end of the third round are given below; muin possible points in the 'north division are 16, and in the south 18.
