SUNDAY TRAIN.

EXCURSION TO LOCAL BEACH.

]Jast Sunday the Railway Department; ran a special Sunday train to Fox tom from Pahiafua. The train consisted of five carriages, well filled, and' over 160 people took advantage of the excursion to spend ft ffiay'at the seaside. The day was winidy and conditions were not very pleawsant on the beach. The train was met by motor buses which conveyed the passengers to the Beach, and a large number took the opportunity of going down by river in Mr Joseph’s launch. The Railway Department intends to run another Sunday train this summer, this time having Terrace ! End as its starting point.
