CROQUET.

On Monday afternoon a match for the Stewart Shields was held on the local green. The holders lost to the challengers, the scores being as follows:—Mrs Moore (6£) and Miss Wauklyn (9), v. Mesdames Pearson (6) and MeAlurray (5J)' 26—20.

In a ladder match, Mrs MeMurray defeated Airs Perreau by 26- —21. A handicap singles match between All’s Downes (9) and Aliss Wjankiyn (9) resulted in a win for the former, the scores being 26—23. On Wednesday the usual halfhour tournament was held, the results being as follows: Alesdames Ball and Downes 3i, MeMurray 3, Perreau and Barr 2£, Miss Wjankiyn and Mrs Pakes li, All’s Bryant and All’s Afoore 1.
