FARMER SUICIDES.
Palmerston North, January 19.
tragic discovery was made on the bank of the Alangaonc stream this morning, when M. J. R. TemperJey, a well-known Bunnytliorpe farmer, was found dead as the result of gunshot wounds in his head. Near deceased was a gun. From what can be gathered, it appears deceased, who resided at Bunnytliorpe with liis wife and family, was worried, over certain financial matters. He is reported to have left his house at 4 o’clock this morning, and on awakening some two hours later, Airs. Temperley found a cheque on the table written for the amount her husband had in ithc bank. Fearing a tragedy, she immediately journeyed to the banks 'of the Alangaone stream, which runs by x the farm, and there made the sad discovery. An inquest was held at Feilding this afternoon. The Coroner’s finding was that deceased met liis death by a gunshot wound self-. inflicted while mentally depressed.
