PERSONAL.

Ensign Sansom and Lieut.Blaikie, who take charge, of the local Salvation Army Corps, arrived from Levin to-day. The death occurred at the Palmerston N. hospital yesterday, after a brief illness, of Mr Sydney Gilling, of Levin, aged 58 years. Tim late Mr Gilling was a member of the Levin Borough Council. He leaves a widow but no family. Captain and Mrs Stone, who for the past three years have been in charge of the local corps of the Salvation Army, left this morning for Carterton, where they have been transferred. During their stay in Foxton, Captain and Mrs Stone have won the esteem and respect of the public and will 'carry away with them the best wishes for their future happiness.
