ACCIDENT AT MANGAHAO.
EX-FOXTON GIRL’S MISFORTUNE.
Mrs R. Hnlbert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Robinson, an exEoxton girl, met with a painful accident at Mangahao one day last week. In company with some others she set. out for a picnic but before the party had gone far they were caught in a shower of rain and took shelter in the locomotive shed. Miss Robinson was standing in front of a locomotive when another engine which had evidently been left standing without the break on moved forward as a result of other members of the party leaning upon it and pinning Miss Robinson against the buffer of the other engine, severely crushing her leg. A 1 ter receiving attention the unfortunate lady was conveyed to the Palmerston North Hospital. Her friends will be pleased to learn that she is making satisfactory progress in that institution but it will be some time before she wall be about again.
