SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the Swimming Baths Carnival was held at Mrs Pearson’s residence last evening, presided over by the Chairwoman (Mrs Perreau). Also present were the organiser (Mrs Pearson) and Mesdames Fuller (Fibre), Spring (Citizens), Barron (Sports) and the secretary (Mrs Downes). Accounts wore passed for payment, totalling about £35. It was decided that the executive lo of the coronation group which to of the coronation grocp which had their photos taken (i.e. the queen, maids of honour, mistress of the robes, and the two little flower girls). Regret was expressed that it was not possible to include the whole coronation party in the photo but it had only been due to the fact that Miss Gower had offered to take the party to Palmerston N. that any photo was procured at all as the robes had to he returned immediately. Mrs Fuller voted against the motion. The secretary was authorised to advertise a general meeting, to he held in the Town Hall supperroom next Tuesday evening, at which Mr Trueman will read the balance-sheet in connection with the effort and it. will he decided as to where the baths will he situated, etc. An executive meeting will be held on Monday evening, at the residence of the organiser, at 7.15 o’clock.
