* SHANNON DEFEAT FOXTON A. Foxton A team played Shannon at Shannon on Saturday, and a very interesting game resulted. The (weather conditions were not of the best, the players being wet tlirough by the time (he game was finished. Foxton A ' put together 100 runs. 11. Taylor 13, T. Morgan 14, A. Fuller 21, Furston 23, were the principal scores. S. Ncwth and P. Morgan opened the howling for Shannon. Ncwth had 30 runs knocked off his bowling for 2 . wickets, while P. Morgan secured four wickets for 20 runs; also T. Spring 20 runs for 4 wickets, were the only howlers. Shannon in their strike got 125 runs for 8 wickets, G. Hemmingsen, T. Spring, S. Newth, C. Urquhart, Claude Hunt and Blackburne were the chief scorers for Shannon. Cliff Hunt was unlucky in being run out when he appeared set.
