DANGERS OF DIMMING
FURTHER CONDEMNED Auckland, December 8. In giving judgment for £93 2s and costs against a motor-car driver who dimmed his headlights in passing a motor bus and knocked down a pedestrian, who claimed £124 for injuries sustained, the Magistrate, Mr R. W". McKean, said: “If a driver dims his headlights and proceeds along a highway when unable to see whether the path is clear, he cannot say he is keep ing a careful look-out. The practice of dimming headlights may be a driving courtesy, but it is a. dangerous one that may be followed by disastrous results.”
