The inter-club match between Foxton and Terrace End, in connection with the Manawatu Association will take place next Friday, 10th inst., on the Manawatu green. Play will commence at 10.30 a.m. The matches in which the Foxton players will participate are as follows, Foxton being mentioned fii’st: — First Singles: Mrs Perreau (34) v. Mrs Honore (6); second singles: Mrs Owen (51) v. Airs Beattie (7), first doubles; Alesdames Woods (41), McMurray (51) v. Alesdames Litchfield (7) and AVood (8); second doubles: Alesdames Pearson (6) and Moore (6))) v. Mesdames Moff'att (6) and Jamieson (10). The results of the handicap singles played during the week are as follows: Airs Ban' (7i) defeated Mrs Downes (9), 26 —16; Mrs Moore (01) defeated Airs Ball (7j), 26-14. The challengers for the Stewart Shields and Nye Mallets, to be played on Monday are: Stewart Shields: Alesdames Pearson and Ale Murray (holders: Mesdames Owen and Aloore); Nyqf Mallets: Alesdames F. AA’oods and Barr (holders: Mesdames Perreau and Bryant).
