FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.

A general committee meeting of the above dub was held at Mr L. O. Bryant’s residence on Thursday evening, rpesidetl over by Mr R. McMurray (President). Also present were Messrs! L. C. Bryant, N. Ross, .1. Christie, Mrs Hay, Misses. Stevenson, Barber, Perreau and the secretary (Mr C. Procter). Apologies for absence were received from Mrs McMurray, W. Ross, W. Roach, R. Warwick. The question of holding a local shop day was thoroughly discussed and it was decided to liohl the matter over, the committee being of the opinion that it would not be fair to the local tradespeople. The opening day was set down as December 4th % Miss J. Ross was elected an honorary member and Miss M. Tver a junior member. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr A. Ross for a donation of £2 2s.
