SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.

The position of queens is as follows: —Citizens, Fibre, Sports. Thc'Citizens Committee are holding a euchre party, with dance to follow, at Oroua Downs Hall this evening. The Sports Committee’s weekly euchre tournament will be held in Grady’s rooms to-morrow evening. Presentation of points prizes will take place. The Revue Entertainers, assisted by the Crimson Ramblers, will appear in the Royal Theatre this evening under the auspices of the Sports Queen Committee. The final euchre party under the auspics of the Fibre Queen Committee will ba held in Hamer’s sample rooms this evening, when the presentation of points prizes will take place. A. dance was held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday for the Sports Queen candidate and an enjoyable time was spent. Shop days were held on Saturday for the Fibre and Citizens queen candidates. Thanks are due to those who, by giving generously, helped to make them a financial success. The Fibre competitions were won by (he following:—Lila Chaffey bag of flour; Mrs C. Edwards 51b. box tea; Mrs Baker, medal; Mrs Allerby, quarter lamb; Mrs Heasman, quarter lamb; Mr Smith do.; Mr Jagger do.; F. Robinson dinner; T. East teaspoons; Mrs Mounsey whitebait; R. McEwen pair fowls; F. Broad, cushion; C. Fuller jar pickles; Mrs Carmont dressing jacket. The results of the Citizens’ competitions were as follows: —Mr U. Edwards, gent’s socks; Mrs Coughtrey, chocolates; Mrs 11. Ball nightdress; Mrs Vertongen, breakfast; Mrs Spelman, statue; Mrs Fuller, cushion; Mrs Perreau, cake forks; Mr Scott, bath salts; Mrs Purcell, tray cloth; Trevor Hirini brush and comb. The pony will be drawn for on Monday, at 8 p.m. The executive wish it to be known that the Carnival closes on Tuesday 23rd November, at 7.45 p.m. Anyone who lias not contributed to this worthy cause will have an opportunity of doing so up to that date. Donations can he given to Queens, or sent direct to the organiser (Mrs Pearson).
