SEQUEL TO MOTOR COLLISION.

£I,OOO FOR LOSS OF LEG. Timaru, Last Night. Arising out of a collision between a cyclist and a motor car in. this district some months ago, a claim for damages was settled in the Supreme Court, when Douglas Christie, the cyclist in question, who lost a leg, as a result of the collision, was awarded £I,OOO damages and £SO costs. Defendant was George William Brehaut. A counterclaim was dismissed without costs.
