DRUG ADDICT.
DEPORTED FROM SYDNEY. RE-COMMITTED TO ROTO ROA. Auckland, Last Night. Described as't the victim of drugs, Charles Marshall Fyfe, aged 46, who arrived from Sydney in cus--tody to-day, pleaded guilty in the Police Court this afternoon, to a charge of escaping from Roto Roa Island Reformatory Institution, on February 25. Accused had been deported from New South Wales. Chief-Detective Cummings said Fyfe escaped from the Island on February 25. He had been committed for a term of two years, and managed, to get away to Sydney. He suggested that as accused’s term had not yet expired, he should be sent back to the Island. The Magistrate, Mr E. C. Cutten, S.M., made! an order for accused to return.
