BOWLING.
Bulls Club opened yesterday under unfavourable weather conditions.
A meeting of Committee was held on Monday evening, presided over by the President (Mr M. E. Perrean). It was resolved to invite members of the newly-formed Oroua Bowling Club (Feilding) to visit Foxton Club on Wednesday next, 27th instant.
It was also decided that an official visit he paid Levin Club on Wednesday, November 10th.
The question of entertaining visiting rinks from Shannon was brought forward, and it was decided to invite Shannon howlers to play at Foxton on January 19th next. A return visit will he paid Shannon on Wednesday, February 2nd.
The question |of arranging a rinks competition for the Wilford Cup during the current season was discussed, it being finally decided that the conditions he as follows: Rinks competition; that individual wins he aggregated at end of season; that every member play in eight games; that rinks he arranged by club selectors; that the four players having the highest aggregate points at end of season to have their names engraved on the cup. Mr J. M. Thomson's generous offer to hold a card tournament at his residence \pis accepted with thanks.
The resignation of Mr R. McMullinn was received with regret.
