Will) good entries assured, tlie grounds and premises in excellent condition and given good weather, the 41st Wellington Provincial Metropolitan Show at Palmerston X. will he another memorable mark in the Association’s history. Progress has been continuous from the inception, 41 years ago. Several new features of interest at this show will be staged, amongst them being an innovation the pig section. To help in educating, breeders to produce the right type of animal, valuable prizes have been offered in two special classes, which will be judged alive, slaughtered and re-judg-ed, the carcases being used for demonstration and lecture purposes in the produce hall on the last night. Tire N.Z. Railways Department also has a display in the exhibition hall in connection with their publicity policy and the Agricultural Implement Merchants will be represented on the ground. Taken all round, the prospects for the coming event are excellent. •
