GAOL FOR DRUNKEN MOTORIST
* Napier, Last Night. Herbert Morgan, who met with an accident while driving a motor car recently, was declared by the Magistrate to-day to have been intoxicated at the time of the occurrence, and in consequence, defendant was sentenced to fourteen days hard labour. His Worship remarked that fines in such cases seemed ineffective.
