BOWLING.
To-morrow afternoon, at 2 o’clock, weather permittig, the local bowling green and croquet court will be opened by the President (Mr M. E. Perreau), for the season’s play, and the various trophies played for by croquet members during the past season, will be presented to the winners.
As usual, invitations have been issued to clubs in the surrounding districts, and it is anticipated that the attendance will be equal at least lo that of previous years in the Club’s history.
The general public, and bowlers who may be at present on holiday in Foxton, are also invited to be present. Local bowlers are requested to be in attedance as early as possible in order to facilitate the business of arranging rinks to compete with the visitors.
Bowlers and croquet players are reminded that they should bring a basket, for the purpose of assisting with the catering arrangements.
