FOXTON D.H. SCHOOL

Mr W. Lambourne, Senior-Inspec-tor of Schools under the jurisdiction of the Wanganui Education Board, visited Foxton on Wednesday for the purpose of inspecting the secondary departments. He also examined a number of pupils in Std. VI. of the primary department, and as a result the following have gained their Proficiency Certificates: — Keith Alexander, Donald Chrystall, >Frank Cowley, John Death, Alston Easton, William Fnrsdon, Alfonso Martin, Keith Powell, Patience Booth, Jean Francis, Melva Yorlte. All the above pupils have been drafted to the junior division of the secondary department, the roll number of which now totals -14.

Edward Stevenson and Cecil Williams, both of whom gained Competency Certificates last year, and Elsie Barber and Miriam Speirs, who gained endorsed competency certificates, were also granted their Proficiency Certificates.
