Foxton folk may look forward to a treat on Thursday evening next when Mr H. T. Pitcher will bring his concert party of soloists and elocutionists from Palmerston > T . to present a first class programme. The concert will he held in the Masonic Hall and is in aid of the Methodist circuit funds. It is being held in a hall because of the humour introduced with a number of the items. In our advertising columns an announcement by the New Zealand Meat Producers Board draws attention to its scheme for delivering Christmas presents of prime New Zealand lamb to any address in the United Kingdom for the sum ot £1 11 /_ per carcase. The populauQ and merit of this scheme which lias now l.een in existence for several vears, is so well known as to render further comment almost unnecessary. As an advestising medium, it has' been responsible for introducing our prime New Zealand lamb into thousands of homes m the Old Country, where it had never been heard of before.
