SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.
The Fibre Queen Committee are holding a shop day in Main Street to-day. A plentiful supply of goods are on sale, and several competitions are, being conducted. The Sports Queen Committee are v holding a Mask Dance in the Masonic Hall this evening. The prices of admission are very moderate. A euchre party will be held in Perreau’s rooms on Monday evening in aid of the Farmers’ Queen candidate. Good prizes and supper. An evening was held in the Anglican Schoolroom on Wednesday evening for the Fibre Queen candidate. Everyone present spent a most enjoyable time. A spot waltz was won by Mr W*. Newtlr and Miss Vertongen.- - A crib tournament was held for the Citizens’ Queen in.,Perreau’s rooms last night, when a fair ,number were present. The first prize was won by Mrs Pearson (ladies) and, Mr Aiden (gents). The booby prizes went to Mrs Perreau and Mi- Andresen.
