SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.
The position of queens, as indicated by. the flags in the Triangle to-day is as follows: —Fibre, Citizens, Farmers, Sports.
The Sports Queen Committee are conducting a Shop Day to-day. A large quantity of goods are offered for sale, and a number of competitions are being conducted. This evening a children’s plain and fancy dress ball will be held in the Masonic Hall, under the auspices of the Farmer’s Committee. Children will occupy the floor until 10 p.m., and adults from 10 till midnight. A Euchre Party was held in Hamer’s Rooms on Tuesday for the Fibre Queen candidate, there being a large attendance. First and second prizes for ladies were won by Mrs W. Coley and Airs Martin, and the gents by Air. Drew and Mr Allerby, respectively. A Crib Tournament was held in Hamer’s Rooms on Friday, for the Citizens’ Queen candidate. First prize lady was won by Aliss H. Spring, and the gents by Air G. Edwards. “Boobies” went to Airs Newth and Air. W. Williams, respectively.
