BOWLING.

The Levin Bowlin" Club held their annual general meeting on Monday evening last. The following are extracts from the annual report of the executive :—•

“The '('lose of the l!)2. r }-2G season saw the end of the flvc-vear period since the club became an incorporated society, and purchased the green. The purchase price was £SOO. Two hundred pounds were subscribed by bowlers and friends in Levin, and the remaining £3OO was raised by mortgage on property. It is gratifying to know that each year the club has given definite evidence of its growth and stability. . . . Looking at the financial aspect we show a credit balance of approximately £3O, after starting from scratch five ycais ago. On the playing fields our achievements are well worthy of note. In the five years we have won the Triangle Shield four times. In the same period both the Dixon Cup and Manson and Barr Cup came to our club. In outside competitions our record is one of which we are proud. In 1924-25 we won the Singles and Pairs Championship of the Centre, and were run-ners-up in the rinks. This season we again annexed the Singles Championship of the Centre. Foi the Kinneburgli Feathers the holders put up a wonderful record ioi the 1925-26 season.
