JUNE WORKING,
The amount of gas manufactured during the month of June was 385,300 ft., which with the amount in the holder on June Ist 10,800 ft., made a total of 402,100 ft. During the month 342,100 ft. were used by consumers, 22,400 ft. at the works and there was 14,000 ft. in the holder on July Ist, making a total of 378,500 ft. and leaving 23,G00ft, representing 8.7 per cent, unaccounted for. Thirty-five tons of coal were carbonised, yielding 11,057 e. ft. of gas to the ton and producing 0 tons 2 ewt. of coke. The carnigs for the month totalled £233 8s 4d and were made up ns follows:—Gas sales (lighting) £sl 8s 3d, heat and power £lO4 14s 2d, coke sales £l4 4s lid, tar sales £3l 14s od, fillings £24 9s 9d, miscellaneous £0 17s 3d.
The expenditure for the month totalled £259 9s Od and Avas made up as follows. —Coal £96 10s lOd, salaries and wages £59 7s lOd, labour £1 6s lOd, repairs to plant. £3 17s lid, fittings £29 Is lid, cartage and freight £5, working expenses £2 10s, testing Aveighbridge £2 2s interest and sinking fund £59 11s Bd.
