PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting Avas held in the Piunket Office on Monday afternoon. There were present, Mesdaines F. Robinson (President), Pearson, Wklton, Trueman, Christie, Downes, Chrystall, Roore,* Stevenson, Baker and McMurray (bon. sec). Apologies for absence Avere received from Mesdames Barr, A. Ross, and Barron. The Nurse’s report showed visits to Foxton five; to homes 8; adults to office 55; children 67, a total of 122; new cases, 4; letters 2. Correspondence Avas received from the Palmerston North branch re stationary and from J. W. Macdonald Esq., Public Trustee, stating that a donation of £25 from the T. G. Macartliy Trust had been made to the funds of Foxton branch of the society. A vote of thanks and appreciation Avas recorded.
Mi’s. R. McMurray who attended the Piunket Society’s conference, recently held in Wellington gave a resume of the business transacted, and stressed the value of the conference, especially to the younger branches of the society. The secretary stated that Piunket Nurse McGillivany had reported that the Avork in Foxton Avas very satisfactory, lier time here being fully occupied. The President said it was gratifying to find that the Nurse’s work was being appreciated.
Mesdames Christie and Trueman Avere appointed visitors and Airs Walton JioAver steward for the month.
