RANGERS v. FOXTON
The weather was fine on Saturday when Rangers (P.N.) tried conclusions with the local team on Easton Park, but a heavy wind in the first spell made accurate kicking practically impossible. However, the wind" dropped after the interval and the game became faster. Galloway opened the account for Rangers ’ after 10 minutes of play and prior to half-time the home team registered through the medium of Carslen. No additional advantage was gained in the first spell. On resumption the teams played much better, both forward lines attacking splendidly. Following some tricky work by Blythe, Rangers added the second goal and Galloway increased the tally almost immediately afterward. Foxton pressed hard, but missed several opportunities through erratic kicking. The visitors gained the leather and Palmer received a pass, which culminated in the final score being made to make: Rangeis 4, Foxton 1.
