HOCKEY.
The local ladies hockey team motored to Ohakea yesterday afternoon and were defeated by the Ohakea ladies by 5 to nil. The local team had to walk two or three mil-' es to the convincing ground owing to motor trouble. The half-time score .was 4 —o in favour of Ohakea, who in the second spell added another goal. Miss E. Simpson netted the ball on four occasions, Miss G. Green gained-the remaining one. Mr. AA'ilson officiated as referee.
The game was-thoroughly enjoyed by the local girls and after tho match they were entertained by the Ohakea team to afternoon tea. Despite minor drawbacks the outing was thoroughly enjoyed. CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS. The position of the teams in the local competitions are: — LADIES’ AVEDNESDAY COMPETITION.
