The monthly meeting of the local branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the Methodist schoolroom on . Tuesday afternoon,, presided over by the President (Mrs Peryman). A resolution was carried regretting the departure from Foxton of Mrs, McDonald (vice-president) and placing on record appreciation of her services during the past four years and expressing the hope that Mrs McDonald would continue her services in the union at Pahiatua.
