“AFTER SIX DAYS.”

Next Friday evening “After Six Days” is to be screened at the Town Hall Temporary pictures. This subject is altogether apart from the usual type of screen subjects. It is based on old testament history and includes many, massive scenes. Amongst these are the building of the Ark, the construction of the Tower of Babel, Joseph at the court of Pharaoh, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and King Solomon dispensing justice in his court. “After Six Days” presents the story of the creation from the days of Adam and Eve to the reign of Solomon. A special matinee is to be .screened on Friday afternoon. The evening admission prices are 1/6 and 1/for adults. Children 6d.

“THE CALGARY STAMPEDE.”

Thirty-six horses and ten wagons itll in a single train driven by one man. This was one of the extraordinary feats performed at the Calgary Stampede last summer to provide atmosphere for "The Calgary Stampede” Universal great Western epic which is coming to the lloyal theatre on Saturday with Hoot Gibson in the starring role. "The Calgary Stampede,” a thrilling story of the great West, was taken on the actual location where a company of 44 persons under Herbert Blache, director, spent two months filming the picture. Included in the action is a murder and the pursuit by the Royal Northwest Mounted Police. To aid the accurate portrayal of this incident, Inspector Spaulding of the R. N. W. M. P., whose division has head- 1 quarters in Calgary, assigned two “mounties” to be with the motion picture company. Part of the action was shot on the Prince of Wales E. P. ranch, following permission from the Prince granting this privilege to Carl Laemmle, president of Universal Pictures Corporation.
