OBITUARY.
FRANCIS HENRY COOK, AGED 70 YEARS. There passed away at the residence of his daughter, Mrs G. Fowler, Mt. Albert, Auckland, on the 6th inst., Francis Henry Cook, late of Foxton at the age of 70 years. Deceased was the fourth son of the late Mr. T. U. Cook (who arrived in New Zealand by the ship “Adelaide” in 1840 1 and was one of the pioneers of this district, settling here in 1854). The late Mr. Cook was born in Foxton and lived here continuously up till about 10 years ago when he settled in Auckland. His wife predeceased him about a year ago. He leaves a family of three sons (Messrs O. and A., Foxton, and Walter, Eketahunaj and five daughters (Mrs Redpath, Manakau; Mrs Puffet, Hastings; Mrs Fowler, Auckland; Miss H. Cook, Auckland and Miss F. Cook, Hamilton) to mourn their loss. The interment took place in Auckland.
