SWIMMING BATHS CARNIVAL.
This evening a euchre party arranged by the Fibre Queen Committee will he held in Hamer’s Sample Rooms, Main Street. Eurchre parties under this Committee’s direction will he held every Tuesday as from the 27th inst. The Fibre Queen Committee will hold a social evening in the Anglican schoolroom on Thursday evening. The Citizens Queen Committee are arranging a concert to be held in the Royal Theatre on Thursday, 22nd inst. A dance will be held in the Masonic Hall to-morrow evening by the Farmers’ Queen Committee. A spot waltz and novelty dance will he included in the programme. An afternoon will be held in the Plunket room on Wednesday, 21st inst., by the Farmers’ Queen Committee. The Sports have arranged for another spectacular hockey match, men v. ladies —the second test —on Easton Park on Saturday of this week. At the “’Ard Up” dance, in the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening, prizes will be given for the most original dresses both lady and gent. A sit-down supper of “hot spuds and pompolomas” will be served.
