THE MAORI ALL BLACKS.
SEND-OFF TO LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE.. A meeting of the local Football Club was held on Saturday evening to make arrangements for a fitting send-off to Moses, a member of the local club who has been selected as one of the Maori All Black team to tour France and Great Britain. Mr. H. Hutchins presided over a good attendance. It was decided that the function be in the nature of a social and dance to be held in the Masonic Hall on the 12th inst. The details of the function were left in the hands of the chairman and Messrs. Fred Rebinson, S. Austin, Roore and the secretary (Mr. Barron). It was stated by Mr. Austin that a similar function would be held at Levin at which both the Horowhenua Union’s Maori representatives would be - present.
