GOLF.

Members of the local Golf Club visited the Shannon links on Saturday and indulged in friendly games with the Shannon Club. The local ladies succeeded in winning their matches, but the men suffered defeat. Those who made the trip were Mesdames Moore, McMurray, Walton, S. Austin, Price, Newton, Misses B. Robinson and Wanklyn and Messrs Bergin, P. Easton, Hay, Ogilvy, Walton, McMurray, Roach, and Trueman. The visitors were entertained to afternoon tea and a most enjoyable time was spent by all.
