1 ROYAL PICTURES. Johnny Hines in a Erst National picture, “The Rive AYiire,” comes to the Royal Theatre to-morrow. It. is in this whirlwind comedy that Johnny Hines has incorporated the world-famous freaks in the circus sequences of his production, and how effective these scenes have proven is well in evidence from the many excellent reports that “The Live Wire” has received. The greatest - amalgamation in the. history of the motion picture industry was the recent joining of forces of Metro, Goldwyn and Louis Pi. Mayer. From the combination of these companies has sprung a notable line of trim productions which has been eulogised everywhere. And heading this great parade of Metro-Goldwyn pictures is “Sinners in Silk,” to be seen on Friday night. THOMAS MEIGIIAX AT TOWN HALL. Sing Sing, the famous home of New York-erookdom, was used by Thomas Meighan and his associates in .the making of his newest picture “The Man who Found Himself,” which heads the list at the Town Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) evening. The story by Booth Tarkington tells of a man who went to jail for anoter’s crime and of his escape and return and his lighting his way to the top of tlie ladder again. Virginia Yalli heads the supporting east. The usual comedy scenic and news reel will be shown in addition to the big feature. Usual prices. “It is the Law,” Friday and Saturday’s big picture is sheer drama with its theme based on one of those queer twists of the law that ordains that a man cannot be tried for the same crime twice.
