CARNIVAL QUEEN NOTES.

The four carnival queen committees are now on the warpath preparing special attractions for the public. The Citizens’ Queen will hold a social evening in All Saints’ schoolroom to-night, when dancing, games and other items will while away a pleasant time. On Tuesday evening a dance will he held in the Masonic Hall.

The Sports Queen lias provided something in the way of an openair novelty on the racecourse on Saturday, when the male “Old Buffers” will don skirts and try conclusions with the ladies hockey team. The game should be full of amusing incidents, with plenty of work for Mie referees. This match should attract a large attendance of the public. The next attraction by this committee‘will, be a “Duffers’ Concert” in the Masonic Hall on July 2nd and a dance in the same hall on July 9th.
