OBITUARY.

MRS MARY PEMBERTON PROCTER—AGED 86 YEARS

Another of the fast vanishing band of pioneersi passed away at her residence, Jenks SI., Foxton, yesterday, in the person of Mrs Mary Pemberton Procter (relict of the late John Procter), at the advanced age of 86 years. The old Indy had been an invalid for some time prior to her death. The late Mrs Procter was horn in Yorkshire and was married in the Lancaster parish church in 1860 and accompanied her husband to New Zealand in the ship “Samuel Curling,” in the following year. In 1875, together with her husband and family, she settled in Foxton and resided here since. Her husband predeceased her in 1919. In 1910 the couple celebrated their gulden wedding. There are eight- living children, 56 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren. The children are: —Mrs R. Andrews senr. (Foxton), Afo'sl G. Small (Foxton), J. AY. Procter (Levin), J. L. Procter (Foxton), 11. Procter (Foxton), C. Procter (Linton), and F. Procter (Foxton). The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the late residence of deceased at 2 p.m. for All Saints’ Church and thence to the Foxton cemetery.
