BOROUGH FINANCE.
TREASURER’S STATEMENT. The Treasurer reported as follows at last night’s meeting of the Borough Council: — During the month of May the sum of £1228 5s 5d was received and has been banked, as follows: District Fund Account £1179 13s 3d, Cemetery Account £2l 10s Od, Drainage Construction Loan Account £27 2s 2d. The ledger balances at the 31st May were as follows: — Accounts totalled £937 9s 2d and were made up as follows: —Imprest Cash £lO, Gasworks £l7l 5s Od, General £l2l 18s lOd, Hospital and Charitable Aid £3O 12s 9d, Town Hall Pictures £2 3s Od, Waterworks £oo] 9s Id. The accounts at credit were:— Cemetery £126 11s sd, Contractors Dtp. £l5O 0s Od, Drainage Construction Loan £2OB 7s 4d, Interest £192 17s 9d, Reserves £IOB 19s 7d, Library £l3O 5s lOd, R. & S. No. 3 Ln, £IOO, Town Hall £3524 3s 6d, a total of £4841 5s sd.
