A committee meeting of the Foxton Rugby Football Club was held on Tuesday evening, presided over by Mr. 11. Hutchins (president). The chairman stated that the Weraroa senior team had disbanded and that two or three of its members had exjnressed a desire to link up with the Foxton seniors. Before this could he done it was necessary that their names be submitted to the Union and personal application by the players be made to transfer. It was decided to write to the Union making application of transfer of Messrs Cole and Kilsby and to instruct the delegates to place the matter before the Union. The Union secretary wrote asking whether the club would meet Southern Union in home and home matches or to play midway. The seniors were of opinion that the distance to Paraparaumu was too great and it was decided to suggest that the matches between these two teams be played at Levin. Messrs Reid and Proctor were deputed to arrange a senior team for the seven-a-sidc tournament at Palmerston. The chairman and secretary were appointed to erect; the fence barrier at the racecourse and to accept the offer of suitable posts from Mr. Andresen. Mr. O’Connor said there was no excuse as they were all aware of the rule in this connection.
Mr. Hannan moved that, in future, clubs playing men clad in wrongly coloured jerseys, should be fined at the rate of 2/6 per player.
