WANGANUI MEETING. The Wanganui meetting was concluded in fine weather and almost summery conditions on Saturday. There was a very large attendance. The going was slightly holding. The tote put through £36,872 10s againis £32,5GG, making a total of £63,307 10s for the meeting as against £58,012 last year. Results: — Balgownie Hack Handicap.— Eden Hall 1, Kilia 2, Take Take 3. Won by a nose. Time, 2.0 3-5. Rata Hurdles Handicap.— Brushwood Boy 1, Taitaiata 2, Zircon 3. Won by four lengths. Time, 2.48. May Hurdles Handicap.—Crown Coin 1, Santiago 2, Merry Singer 3. Won by six lengths. Time, 3.1 G 2-5. Grandstand Steeplechase.—Puwhero 1, Peter Maxwell 2, Omaliu 3. Wlon by three lengths. Time, 5.1 4-5. Empire Handicap.—Glenross 1, Sunshol 2, Hipo 3. Won by a bead. Time, 1.58 4-5. Farewell Hack Handicap.—Berinthia 1, Quillfirc 2, Sovcna 3. Won by two lengths, Time, 1.16 2-5. Winter Oats. —Tnkia 1, Pouma 2, Royal Damon 3. Won by half a length. Time, 1.15 3-5.
