PTOMAINE POISONING.
A case of ptomaine poisoning occurred on Saturday night, when, after partaking of some brawn for tea, Mr. J. Westwood, his wife and family, (two sons and a daughter), and a visitor were taken suddenly ill. Medical advice was sought and the sufferers were removed to the Palmerston North Hospital. The effects were not of a serious nature and all were able to leave the institution yesterday.
