A DANGEROUS ROAD BEND.

A dangerous bend in the road — the scene of innumerable minor and major accidents—a continuation of Russell St. to the railway crossing at the north entrance to the borough, was referred to the county engineer (Mr. Hickford) by our representative yesterday. Mr. Hickford agreed that the curve was dangerous to traffle and that tho road could he straightened at little cost. He said the Borough Couucil were responsible for the road and should straighten it and make a claim to the County Council for half cost, as the county boundary adjoined the road on the east side. He agreed that the straightening of the road, which was only a few chains in length, should be done without delay.
