HOCKEY.

A fairly well attended practice match was played on Easton Park yesterday. Quite a number of new players seem very enthusiastic, and it is to bo hoped more girls will take an interest in the game and come along to the practices as the best players will be picked to play in the match on the 21st of this month against a P.N West End team who are very good players. Although the Foxton Hockey Club lias only been formed 12 months, there are a number of members who will be excellent players ,with practice which is most essential, and it is to be hoped they will not let such a good club fall through, and all turn out to practices. The next practice will be held on Easton Park at 7 o’clock Tuesday morning.
