The annual meeting of the Foxton Association Football Club was held last Thursday. Mr MeKnight (President) occupied the chair and a good number of members were present.

The balance-sheet was read and adopted, and showed receipts for the year £33 19/-, expenditure £39 19/-, leaving a debit of £O. Against this, the Club owns assets valued at £l6, so the position is very satisfactory.

The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron: Mr T. W. Winstanley; president: Mr J. McKnight (re-elected); vice-president: Mr H. Nixon; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr B. Hinds (re-elected); .captain, Mr G. Mounsey; vice-captain, Mr A. Crowe; coach, Mr J. McKnight; delegate to M.F.A., Mr B. Hinds.

A letter was read from the M.F.A., staling that six teams had enteral, in the senior division, and the games would commence on Saturday, April 10th. ! Reports for the season are very bright. New players are signing on, some of whom are new arrivals from Home. These should strengthen the team considerably and enable Foxton to show up well in the competitions. Foxton will meet R.S.A. (Palmerston) on Easton Park on Saturday, in the first match of the season.
