INTER-CLUB MATCH
FOXTON DEFEAT OATKI
In the third round of the Horowhenua inter-club matches Foxton met Otaki at Levin on Tuesday and came off victorious by 98 points to 85. Following are the scores, Otaki players being mentioned first:
‘'Singles.— Mrs Noble (8) defeated Mrs Woods (5) 26 —25; Mrs Evans (9) lost to Mrs Moore (7) 19—20.
Doubles. —Mesdames Smith (11) and Wyatt (11) defeated Mrs Parkcs (7) and Miss Wanklyn (9) 20—21; Mesdames Oliver (9) and Gillespie (12) lost to Mesdames Owen (0) and Bryant (81) 14 —20. THIRTY-MINUTE TOURN AMENT. Scores of the Foxton Club, played yesterday, resulted: —Mesdames Owen, Huntley, Barr, Ball, McMurray, and Miss Wanklyn (24), Mrs Moore (4J).
Handicap singles—Mrs Moore (si) defeated Mrs Ball (5) 20 18; Mrs Owen (21) defeated Mrs Ball (5) 20—20; Mrs Wloods (31) defeat Mrs Parkes (5) 20—12; Mrs McMurray (21) defeated Mrs Barr (5) 20—14.
