ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

An application was made by the local association F.C. to the Borough Cuncil at Tuesday’s meeting for permission to play on Easton Park. The request was left to the Reserves Committee with power to act.

The Management Committee of the Manawatu association was held at Palmerston on Monday night. Six entries were received front the senior clubs, and it was decided to open the season on April 10 with the league competition. The draw for the first Saturday is: Rangers v. Atheletio at North Street Park; Foxton v. R.S.A. at Foxton; St. Andrew’s v. Flock House at Flock House.

It was resolved that the Chatham Cup entries close with the secretary on April 20. The competition is to lie of three rounds, Referees’ charts are to be sent to all clubs and referees.
