BOWLING.
NYE FERNS MATCH. Yesterday afternoon a further match for the Xve Ferns was played on the local green. The challenging rink, skipped by Winstanley, made the pace a cracker from the word “go,” and had scored fifteen points before the holders showed colour. The game can only be described as a debacle, the final scores being 37 —10 in favour of the challengers. The following are the details of the rinks: — Holders: Healey, Downes, Woods, Huntley (s) 10; Whibley, Mattar, Roore, Winstanley (s) 37. VISIT BY OTAKI POSTPONED. Word was received yesterday afternoon that Otaki Club were compelled to postpone their visit. It it not known whether that club will make the trip to Foxton later or not.
